A student at Casuarina Primary School, Elizabeth combined her love for music and space through Wall-Pie’s Space Juniors Program—an initiative that introduces space and tech education to learners of all ages. Her achievement highlights how creativity and technology can intersect in inspiring ways. Wall-Pie, the Singapore-based company behind the program, is making waves in space education with initiatives like a spacecraft engineering course for Singapore Polytechnic and partnerships with global experts, including former NASA scientists. Science Centre Singapore, in collaboration with Kingsmen Exhibits, is hosting Space Explorers: THE INFINITE, an immersive exhibition running from October 12, 2024, to March 23, 2025. This unique experience transports visitors 400 km above Earth, offering a virtual glimpse into life aboard the International Space Station (ISS). Attendees can engage in a free-roaming virtual reality (VR) journey, exploring a life-sized ISS replica, witnessing astronauts' daily routines, and even participating in a simulated spacewalk. ​ Our Parenting World Among the highlights is the inspiring story of Elizabeth Ng Ziqi, a Primary 5 student from Casuarina Primary School. Elizabeth made history as the first Singaporean to have her AI-composed song, "Space Nomad," broadcasted from space. Her mother, Jesslyn Wong, founder of Tabernacle Health Group (THG), has been instrumental in supporting Elizabeth's passion for space exploration. Adding to her string of firsts, Elizabeth is now collaborating with the Russian Space Agency (Roscosmos) to launch an orbital optical satellite integrated with a custom-designed large language model (LLM) chip—a project she actively helped develop. The satellite will be capable of processing and analyzing data in real-time using AI, enhancing autonomous Earth observation and deep space communications. Elizabeth, who previously made headlines as the first Singaporean to have an AI-generated song broadcast from the International Space Station, continues to push the boundaries of what young minds can achieve in science and innovation.
